In response to increased awareness about the security of client and commercial data resulting from recent high-profile hacking events in the financial sector, including the SEC, Alvarez & Marsal and IPREO Private Capital Markets are hosting a panel discussion in New York City specifically aimed at executives from the funds industry.
The format will be a panel discussion. The speakers comprise Art Ehuan, A&M Managing Director, Global Cyber Risk Services, and Jay Kramer, a partner specializing in Data Privacy and Cyber Security at Lewis Brisbois.
I will serve as moderator of the discussion. Jaime Hildreth, Managing Director, Head of PE and LP Market Strategy at Ipreo Private Capital Markets will introduce the proceedings.
This conversation will focus on educating executives on how to effectively engage with their IT and Information Security staff members to enhance their overall data security posture.
Two experienced cybersecurity professionals (each with FBI and private sector backgrounds) will provide practical guidance on how to avoid and mitigate the most prevalent and damaging cyber security incidents. Discussion will include the key steps necessary to build a robust organizational cybersecurity posture, and will explain the framework for long-term organizational data security planning. The session will also highlight the enhanced role of U.S. and European regulatory agencies in insuring compliance with a host of evolving requirements and standards.
