Governments are more active in potential adoption and use of blockchain than you might think. Obviously, they will be users of the technology, so they are exploring and testing it out - and they are making progress and learning lessons. But also, they play a key role as regulators of the business rules blockchain could threaten - and here, governments are making progress, but things are not so clear. Strap in, because it might take years to determine the state / federal jurisdiction of blockchain regulation. Meanwhile, as the US is sorting out its jurisdiction issues, other countries may grab the lead in blockchain.
