I posted several weeks ago about the group of laws Wyoming passed to limit obstacles to private-sector use of blockchain. Now, Nevada is doing something similar with their own laws.
In the role governments play as regulators of blockchain use, it appears governments in the western part of the U.S. are getting the jump on making it easier to use blockchain tech to support business development and growth. It'll be interesting to see whether and how other states try to 'catch up.'
“By supporting light-touch legislation, our state is clearly committed to supporting innovation and investment. At the same time, the creation of the legislative Tech Caucus demonstrates that we’re serious about staying on the leading edge of emerging technologies. We’re excited to be a partner in building the new Nevada.”
