Hmmmm - the govt of Guangzhou in China announces it's putting up $150M to fund blockchain projects. Guangzhou is not the first local government in China to create a 'blockchain exploratory' fund, and more are expected. 

I expect at least some of the projects funded to focus on improving government services. We will likely learn a great deal from these experiments, but I'm also troubled that the innovation and experimentation for blockchain in government appears to be happening largely outside of the U.S.
