The U.S. Veterans Administration (not usually considered a hotbed of innovation) is demonstrating a model for how a government agency can work closely with private sector to try out the latest tech (in this case AI) to improve diagnostic capabilities and therefore get treatment to patients faster. 

They are doing it thru 'sprints' testing out pieces of the tech, and sharing data that both sides might previously have been reluctant to share. While not a completely-proven model and approach, at least we are seeing innovation and new approaches to how we can use today's technology to improve citizen services. Stay tuned . . .
