Public-private partnerships can accomplish more than any public- or private-sector entity can do on its own. And I try to bring you examples of this model so we can all learn creative ways to explore and use this model.
Here's a good one. Local farms in Lexington, KY have lost lots of business as the University of Kentucky sent students home and the restaurants in the area have all closed. But people still need fresh food and it's still available. The combination of Aramark Corporation, UK’s partner in dining services, The Food Connection at the University of Kentucky and Bluegrass Farm to Table have partnered to find new outlets to make local farm products available directly to local consumers.
