I am proud of my colleagues Tim Kent and Devin Rochford whose innovative approach helped extract data from 31 funds comprising over 700 investments and transfer it accurately and swiftly to a new portfolio management platform.
Complex investment-level information, in dozens of portfolios, contained in disparate Excel outputs, made the transfer potentially lengthy and time-consuming, with a high probability for errors. Combining our use of proprietary technology with our understanding of the source files, we programmed bots to identify and extract the specific information required into a database file in less than two hours.
The verification of the data confirmed its accuracy and ensured stakeholders’ comfort with our methodology; we also saved the client substantial time and money

A&M’s Fund Analytics Services Team worked with a leading investment management firm with a portfolio of real assets of hundreds of properties and dozens of managers. The A&M team’s task was to extract historical financial data from thousands of legacy documents, sort and centralize the data, and efficiently ingest it into the new platform.
