A&M's Keith Williamson and Chris Fordham, together with Cori Lable, a partner at Kirkland & Ellis based in Hong Kong, were quoted in a Bloomberg article on the need to hire more investigators in Asia to respond to the increasing incidence of corporate scandals in the region. "In times of economic downturn, more instances of fraud tend to come to light and individuals are also under greater pressure to perpetuate the wrongdoing," said Chris. "We are hoping to increase our disputes and investigations team headcount from around 35 to 75 in the next two to three years,” said Keith. Cori also said "I think it’s natural when economic times are harder and balance sheets might be scrutinized more closely that irregularities come to the surface more easily."
