I regularly suggest interesting reads, but this one is a great listen instead. In this podcast by Herbert Smith Freehills, we hear from Jonathan Turnbull, Jessica Welborn and Rachel Montagnon on the topic of trade secrets disputes. Such a great discussion.
In the podcast blurb, the team at Herbert Smith Freehills explain that the increasing number of questions they have been getting from clients over the past few years on trade secrets has been really noticeable. And we would agree with them on this. It is important for all companies to consider how the protection their intellectual property, not just trade secrets from both a legal and technical perspective, as so much of their value and future value is directly derived from it.
The key here for us is to help firms protect and preserve the value of their trade secrets/IP. Technology of course plays a big role in this, both from cyber protection point of view as firms take reasonable steps to protect their trade secrets in the first place; and from a forensic computing investigations point of view should the worst happen and so the culprit can be uncovered.
