Mariah Rodriguez is a Director with Alvarez & Marsal Disputes and Investigations in Miami, Florida. She specializes in complex data issues, specifically maximizing data potential and resolving data management and processing issues. Her primary areas of concentration are Data Quality, Data Standards, Data Research and Data Analytics.
With more than 13 years of Data and Financial Industry experience, Ms. Rodriguez has spent her career streamlining data processes to reduce inefficiencies and create capacity across various business units for international banks. She has received awards for the ability to maximize capacity, and cost reduction of over $2m. Through her understanding of data models and data quality, Ms. Rodriguez has been able to resolve complex data problems in response to operational, compliance, and regulatory concerns.
Prior to joining A&M, she served as the Finance Change Project Manager, where she led the Fixed Income implementation of the Data Warehouse to satisfy Basel III, Dodd Frank and other regulatory reporting requirements. In this role, she was responsible for ensuring the Fixed Income data flow was streamed line from trade execution all through financial reporting. She was responsible for maintaining and assigning the remediation of issues throughout the project. In addition to serving as the UAT Lead and Scrum Master for the Fixed Income tech team. She oversaw the updates provided to the executive management team, and owned the success of the project.
Due to her expertise and quality of work performed, she was promoted to the US Head of Data Quality. In this role, she was asked to reduce and remediate month-end finance exceptions. She was able to provide top root causes, and resolve data issues that reduced processing time and was able to reduce headcount by 30% of full time employees. In addition, she recommended tactical and strategic solutions that led to further saves, and standardized the data per regulatory requirements. Due to her work in this role, she was promoted to Vice President, Head of US Client Data at Deutsche Bank. From her knowledge of data standards and governance, she was tasked to create a data team that was responsible for identifying key client data attributes required for a correct Client On-Boarding file. In this role, she implemented a data analytics team responsible for sourcing the data, and implemented data quality rules for the remediation of static and legacy data.
Ms. Rodriguez earned a bachelor’s degree in Sociology from the University of North Florida, and studied at Nova Southeastern University for her Master in Business Administration in Finance. She is Series 99 FINRA licensed, and has her certification in Six Sigma. She is also a native Spanish speaker.
