About Me

Benjamin Dunlap is a Manager in Disputes & Investigations with Alvarez & Marsal in Dubai, UAE.  He specializes in forensic accounting, financial accounting and reporting and regulatory compliance.  His primary areas of concentration are financial crime compliance, forensic accounting investigations and disputes.

With more than 12 years of accounting, forensic accounting investigations, financial reporting, consulting and regulatory compliance experience, Benjamin has led whole organization financial functions and whole organization operations as well as planned and led a diverse range of engagements including audits, fraud investigations, disputes and financial crime investigations.

In his career Mr. Dunlap has worked with clients across various industries, including banking, oil and gas, alternative investments, mutual funds, private equity, insurance, technology, government/public sector, manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, retail, distribution, education, and real estate development.

Prior to joining A&M, Benjamin was the CFO of the American University of Afghanistan and spent seven years with EY’s Fraud, Investigation and Disputes Services practice in New York, Boston, London and Dubai. He planned and led a diverse range of professional engagements including audits, fraud investigations, disputes and financial crime compliance investigations. He has worked with clients across Asia, North America, Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
